In 2008, when my child was born, I was overjoyed—and completely overwhelmed. Like many new mothers, I quickly discovered that parenting is beautiful, but it can also feel like a nightmare when you don’t have the right support. Even the basics of daily life, like feeding and helping your baby sleep, felt confusing and stressful.
Breastfeeding was one of my biggest challenges. I knew how important breast milk was for my baby’s growth and health, but without proper tools or guidance, every feeding felt like a struggle. Back then, I didn’t know about the kind of smart, user‑friendly breast pumps that exist today—devices that make it easier for mothers to provide the nutrients their babies need, store milk for later, and warm it safely with a bottle warmer.
Nights were the hardest. I worried constantly: Is my baby breathing okay? Are they too hot or too cold? Without monitors or cameras, I slept lightly, waking up again and again just to check. When my baby cried at night, I tried everything—rocking, singing, walking around the room—often in tears myself. I didn’t know that sound machines and soothers, with gentle white noise that mimics the sounds of the womb, could help calm a baby and support deeper sleep for everyone.
As the seasons changed, my baby often suffered from a stuffy nose. Because babies can’t blow their noses, I watched my child struggle to breathe, feeling helpless. I didn’t realize then how essential a nasal aspirator could be—how quickly it could clear congestion and make breathing easier.
Even simple things like trimming tiny nails became a source of anxiety. I tried using gloves so my baby wouldn’t scratch their face, but they restricted movement and development. I tried regular nail clippers, but I was always afraid of hurting those tiny fingers and toes. Only later did I discover baby nail grinders: safe, gentle, and quiet enough to use while a baby sleeps.
Looking back, I often think: “If only I had known about these tools earlier.” That thought became the heart of BMS.
